At Central Coast Casualty Restoration, Inc., we handle many types of water damage jobs.
Some of the most common water damages include these basic types: hot water heater failure, plumbing malfunctions and appliance failures. In addition, we often see seasonal damages caused by wind and rain.
No matter what kind of water damage you have experienced our team is ready and available to step in to determine the level of damage, scope, estimate and repair.
There are three categories of water contamination:
Once we can determine the type of water damage you have experienced, we can get to work for you quickly.
It does not matter to us how the water got into your home. When you find water damage time is of the essence! CCCR is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for all your water emergencies.
Water seeps to the lowest point of any area as quickly as it can. It can slide under doors and walls, in between tiles, and into all types of flooring. If it is not uncovered and extracted quickly, water can ruin flooring, cabinetry, sheetrock, electrical wiring – even cause dry rot and structural damage. In worst-case scenarios, undetected water damage can provide a safe harbor for microbial growth.
Depending on the level and category of loss, there are things that you can do to mitigate some of your damages.
Call Professionals. CCCR has a team of highly trained professionals on-call day and night to assist at the first sign of trouble. Our methods comply with the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning, and Restoration Certification (IICRC) and guarantee customer satisfaction.
Call Your Insurance Company. After you are assured that professionals are on their way, make sure you notify your insurance company and open a claim. Let your agent or adjuster know that you have a trained restoration team on the way. Make sure to ask for a claim number. The insurance company may give you specific information that will be important to relay to our team including exclusions or limits, etc.
Document. Document. Document. If it is safe and you have time to do so, go ahead and take pictures or videos of the water damage. Be sure to include photos of any individually insured items like heirloom rugs, furniture, or art. Try to take the photo with the entirety of each room or area in the shot. These photographs may come in handy later.
Secure Shelter. If you know that you and your family will be unable to remain in your home, make sure to discuss this immediately with your insurance adjuster. Depending on the coverage you carry, you may be entitled to Additional Living Expense coverage.
Quick Response. When we receive a call for help, we respond quickly because our team understands that the quicker we get to work, the more likely it is that we will be able to save valuable property. When you make that call, one of our team members will be on the other end ready to dispatch a team of our restoration professionals to you.
Assessment. Once we arrive at your property, a thorough inspection is always our first step. We must know precisely what type of water damage you have experienced. This is for both the safety of our team and the safety of you and your loved ones. This allows us to evaluate and create a plan of attack.
Planning. Our professionally trained estimator will develop a detailed plan for mitigation or remediation and restoration based on their evaluation. You can expect a scope of work, estimate of costs, and thorough documentation of all damages. Our priority is to get your property back to pre-loss condition as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Communication. Once contracted, CCCR will assign a Project Manager to your job. This specially-trained professional will be your point of contact throughout the entirety of your repairs. Your Project Manager allows you to feel confident in the work that is being handled.
We will work closely with your insurance company, providing all necessary recommendations and documentation so that your claim can be processed smoothly. Our goal is relieving as much of the burden from your shoulders so that you can focus on your essential day-to-day duties.
Execution of the Plan. If needed, our team will move in immediately to begin extracting water from your property. You can expect to see water extraction equipment, industrial dryers, dehumidifiers, and large fans. We use innovative moisture detection equipment to ensure that all moisture areas have been detected and a plan for eradication from your home before we begin the restoration process.
Contents. When a home has incurred water damage, soft goods within the space (bedding, clothing, upholstered furniture, etc.) can get damaged. Our team is trained to carefully inventory, pack and remove those items from your home to be cleaned and/or stored.
Once your property is at our facility, our technicians are specially trained to inspect, clean and store each item. Our goal is to return your property back to you, in pre-loss condition, as quickly as possible. We use only the safest, gentlest, and most effective cleansers on the market.
If you prefer not to have your items removed from your home, you have the option of the cleaning to take place on-site. Please ask us about the possibility of this if it is important to you.
